I plan on covering a bunch of high school games in…  The past 12 months have been extremely busy on the sports side of things and have resulted in me being able to shoot for a large variety of services and different organizations. I’ve had the chance to cover everything from youth cheerleading, to all of the high school stuff I can stand, to NASCAR, UT…  Tuesday night I arrived in sunny California to attend SportsShooter Academy VIII, which is definitely living up to it’s billing as the COOLEST Sports Photography event of the year! Yesterday I attended a lighting workshop led by Robert Hanashiro of USA Today and then had my edits from that shoot critiqued by Tim Mantoani, an amazing San Diego…  There’s a pretty tight community of sports photographers, photojournalists, reporters, etc. on Twitter so when I started getting a few “Big congrats!” and “Congrats on the SI Cover” tweets late yesterday evening I was quite certain that April 1st had arrived for a second time this year.
